Next week I’m going to the Colour Out of Space festival in Brighton, following Buffle. Really excited about it. Talking about exciting, yesterday night at the Carlo Levi (Liège) with TG, members of Emeralds and James Ferraro was great, merci YG. Last week, I finally saw the documentary from Clémence Hébert, Le bateau du père: Hardcore and highly recommended.
I’m looking for someone who could bring records to Berlin in the following weeks. Please contact me to the ususal address (lexidisques@gmail.com) if you’re eager to help Thanks!!!

Last weekend I received a box of Plankton Wat records from DNT Records, USA. Beautifully packaged, this red vinyl contains a surprising and striking mix of lo-fi space rock, acid folk and experimental noises. Price: 10 EUR + postage. You can contact me at the usual address if you feel like having one of those.
September was again very busy. We hosted the young swedish Action Biker home for a couple of days and she made a lovely concert at the MAPP store in Brussels. Last week the Schip venue in Molenbeek reopened. Very nice and sweet evening. I especially loved Gregg Kowalski’s set. During the weekend we went to Lille for the second Fais-le toi-même fair where Nos Restes kindly hosted Lexi records. Had a good laugh with Funky Fingers.
Lexi 002 and 003 are finally available in the US through Time Lag.

Serena E. prepared a wonderful new sticker for Lexi. A second one should be available soon.
J’y pense, j’y pense…
Oh and also… Nice review in last Ruis issue.

LD 7″s are available in Sao Paulo and Rio from now on. If you go to Rio, check the Plano B out. Excellent record shop, friendly venue and free cachaça-ginger for young fresh europeans.

The Rebel is out! (And mudboy too)
June 19, 2009 by lexidisques
On Monday night, DJ Guerrilla Stoemp played excellent indie records, Hyena opened the show pour le plaisir des petits et des grands, Head Of Wantastiquet was brilliant, mudboy did a very good show and Paul Labrecque joined him at the end of his set, offering the best moment of the evening. Was a highly pleasant release party to me, I must say. Thanks to everyone who showed up.
So from now on, mudboy and The Rebel 7-inches should be available in your local store (at least in Brussels) and distros. Or will be. Or as usual, please contact me and I’ll send it directly to your burrow. I also have a couple of mudboy ’Hungry Ghosts’ home for distro, so you can contact me if you want it (12 eur). It’s a great great album.
Otherwise Vital Weekly published a nice review.
Last minute ticket: Hyena is joining on Monday!
